FAQ

  • High-voltage upon arrival

    The ambient temperature is relatively high. As the temperature rises, the open-circuit voltage of LFP slightly increases; therefore, higher warehouse or transportation temperatures will make it appear even higher.
  • Large voltage difference between individual strings in the module

  • High internal resistance of the battery cell

    Reason 1: Different test frequencies. It’s common for factories to use AC internal resistance at 1 kHz, while customers typically measure DC internal resistance (DCR) or low-frequency resistance—values measured under different voltages can differ by 10% to 30%. As a result, customers may perceive the “internal resistance as high.

    Reason 2: Inconsistent test voltage/SOC. The internal resistance of LFP varies depending on the SOC; refer to the reference table provided by the manufacturer for comparison.

    Reason 3: Low temperature. When the ambient temperature is below 20℃, the internal resistance of LFP batteries will increase significantly. It's normal for the internal resistance to be high in winter or in cold warehouses.
  • Excessive self-discharge

    Reason 1: Overcharging and overdischarging. This damages the structure, triggers side reactions, and significantly increases self-discharge.

    Reason 2: High-temperature storage/high-temperature transportation. Temperatures exceeding 45℃ will significantly accelerate side reactions, leading to faster pressure drop.

    Reason 3: The battery was tested immediately after high-current fast charging without allowing it to rest. The voltage appeared artificially high but quickly dropped once the battery was allowed to sit, giving the impression of significant self-discharge.
